Georgetown’s Cory Welt has launched a blog to monitor and promote democratic reforms in Georgia. As he puts it:
“Given the considerable debate surrounding local elections and the start of the new bilateral working group on democracy,” he writes, “in the framework of the US-Georgia Charter on Strategic Partnership, this seems a good time to launch such a format.”
The latest posting is on the reported collapse of the election code working group. Earlier posts discuss the setting of the local elections date and detail useful resources.
