Want a front seat at Egypt’s transition?

The Cairo-based One World Foundation is a non-sectarian NGO, focused on development issues, particularly advocacy, human rights, public participation and democracy.

One World leads regular policy seminars on timely and critical topics related to the reform process, convening key stakeholders and experts from diverse sectors of society, producing policy papers and recommendations on salient issues, and disseminating recommendations to opinion-formers and decision-makers.

The group is in the process of strengthening its nascent policy research unit and is seeking a volunteer with experience of writing briefs in policy institutes or think tanks to spend one to two months at their Cairo office. One World can provide a work space but is not be able to cover travel/board costs. This is an excellent opportunity for scholars planning to undertake research in Egypt. One World will provide a local base and assist scholars with local contacts in exchange for assistance and advice.

It is preferable but not a prerequisite for volunteers to have some level of Arabic proficiency.

Please feel free to circulate through any academic or research-based networks.

Interested parties should contact Maged Sorour at msorour75@yahoo.com.

The One World Foundation is a grantee of the National Endowment for Democracy.
